Simon Humphreys

Born in Buckinghamshire, England, Simon was educated at King’s School Rochester and City of Bath Boys’ School, where he claims to have done precious little, other than play rugby, hockey and cricket. He currently resides in Cape Town, running his own company and writing in his spare time. He still enjoys the odd game of veterans hockey and spends most weekends sailing.
Having placed a novel in the “pending” tray, he turned his attention to short story competitions at the beginning of 2012. His entry Cup of Tea won first place in the globalshortstories.net writing competition for June.  His short story Sand Man featured in Positional Vertigo, the Askance 2013 anthology and another of his stories will feature in the 2014 anthology, “Homes”. In 2015 Simon’s first collection of stories was published using Sandman as the title story.

Simon is married and has two teenage children.
